Roxanne Perez isn’t just living her dream in WWE—she’s living it alongside the very people who made her believe it was possible.

During her interview on Going Ringside, Roxanne opened up about AJ Lee’s return and the emotional full-circle moment of sharing the locker room with her wrestling hero. For Roxanne, AJ wasn’t just an influence—she was the spark that made everything feel achievable.

“Yeah, she was definitely the person that made me realize that it was possible for me to become a WWE superstar. One of my biggest inspirations, for sure.”

Now, with both AJ and CM Punk backstage in WWE, Roxanne gets to see the dynamic between two icons she grew up watching—and she didn’t hold back when describing it.

“You can definitely see the change in Punk’s energy and, I don’t know, just overall happiness when she’s around. It’s so cute. And it’s awesome to see.”

It’s not just about nostalgia. Roxanne said having Punk and AJ around has been instrumental as she adjusts to life on the main roster. She made it clear they’re more than mentors—they’re go-to people for support and guidance.

“The storylines that they created were some of my favorite to watch growing up. So to now have them there, and for them to just be people that I can turn to whenever I need advice or need help or anything… yeah, they’re just—they’re amazing.”

When the host brought up the old saying “never meet your heroes,” Roxanne immediately shut that down.

“Oh, it definitely went well. And I tell them that a lot, where I’m like, ‘Thank you for making that quote ‘never meet your hero’ so untrue,’ because they’re just awesome. They’re just awesome to be around.”

Roxanne Perez is clearly soaking up the moment—surrounded by legends, growing into her own spotlight, and making the most of every second. And she’s doing it with the humility and gratitude that fans have come to love.
