Ross welcomes Tony Schiavone to the show.

Schiavone says that Heenan’s death hit him very hard as well, and every time a peer passes away it’s hard to not think about your own mortality. He sends his thoughts and prayers to Heenan’s wife and daughter, who have been through a lot over the last decade as Heenan suffered through multiple health concerns.

Ross says he doesn’t think he’s ever worked with anyone in the wrestling business who had better comedic timing than Heenan. Schiavone agrees, saying that Heenan’s work on the mic has been unparalleled in the business since his retirement.

Schiavone speaks about Heenan’s work as a heel commentator. He says that Heenan’s ability to get babyfaces over as a heel commentator was something to behold. Heenan was able to disagree with the babyfaces’ antics and make fans believe that he really disliked them, all while managing to make the babyfaces credible and getting them over with the audiences at home.

Ross says that apart from all of his other skills, Heenan’s instincts were second to none. Schiavone agrees and says he got to notice that first hand during his time working with Heenan on WCW Monday Nitro.

Ross also recalls Heenan ribbing Vince McMahon quite often by running into McMahon’s office at each building before McMahon arrived, having a bowel movement in McMahon’s toilet, and leaving without flushing. McMahon would find a little present in his toilet upon arriving and would never find out who had ribbed him.
