Ronda Rousey’s AEW run may already be over before it ever really started — because a new report suggests her Revolution appearance wasn’t meant to go beyond that one night.

After her surprise moment at AEW Revolution on March 15, 2026, where she confronted Toni Storm and helped Marina Shafir lay her out, fans immediately started speculating about what was next. But according to a new report, there may not be a “next” at all.

According to PWInsider on March 24, 2026, Rousey is not expected to return to AEW anytime soon, with her Revolution appearance currently viewed as a one-off. The report made it clear that her involvement wasn’t part of a long-term wrestling storyline, but instead tied to timing and real-life factors.

“Ronda Rousey is also not expected back anytime soon. Rousey's appearance at AEW Revolution was, as of now, just a one-off appearance designed to promote her MMA return and appear in support of Marina Shafir, who she has been close friends with for many years.”

That adds a completely different detail to the moment — shifting it away from a major AEW storyline and more toward cross-promotion and personal connection. There was also a logistical reason behind why it happened when it did.

“Since Revolution was local for Rousey (and in the same market as her May fight against Gina Carano), it was just a moment where it made sense for all involved since all the constellations were aligned.”

In other words, it wasn’t just creative — it was convenience. The report also addressed what many fans were expecting next — a follow-up feud with Toni Storm — and shut that down as well.

“For those who have asked, Rousey and Storm were not scheduled for a follow-up angle post-PPV before Storm needed to take a break from the ring.”

That means the confrontation at Revolution wasn’t the start of something bigger — at least not right now. Still, the door isn’t completely closed: “That doesn’t mean it couldn’t have happened down the line – or that it couldn’t happen down the line, it’s just not something that was scheduled for Fresno.”

So, Ronda Rousey’s AEW moment got people talking, but it looks like that’s all it was meant to be for now. No long-term angle, no immediate return — just a one-off appearance that lined up perfectly at the time.

Do you think AEW should bring Ronda Rousey back for a full storyline, or was a one-off appearance the right call? Drop your thoughts below and leave your feedback.
