Ronda Rousey didn’t hold back during her appearance on Bert Kreischer’s Bertcast podcast—and she took a subtle jab at the egos in WWE while she was at it.

As Rousey and Kreischer chatted about her WWE run, the comedian struggled to remember who the men’s world champion was during her time with the company. That slip prompted Rousey to point out what she sees as a reality check for many WWE Superstars.

“The fact that you can’t recall,” Rousey laughed, “it makes it so funny because I think a lot of people in the WWE think they’re a lot bigger stars than they are.”

Rousey’s WWE tenure ended with a SummerSlam bout against Shayna Baszler under MMA Rules. Since then, she’s stepped into the indie scene, working tag team matches alongside Marina Shafir—including a surprise appearance in Ring of Honor.

Rousey’s comments reflect a growing trend of former WWE talent shedding light on what life is really like inside the company—and how fame doesn’t always translate outside the wrestling bubble.
