Ronda Rousey hasn’t stepped inside the Octagon since 2016, but fans haven’t stopped dreaming of her return. While the former UFC champ has moved on to other ventures—including her WWE run and a string of personal projects—her name still carries serious weight in the fight world. And now, Rousey’s latest comments have people wondering if she might just put the gloves back on.

During a conversation on The Breakfast Club, Rousey addressed the idea of a potential MMA comeback. But for those hoping she’ll come back to chase old glory, think again. She made it clear that any future return wouldn’t be about trying to “fix” herself or find happiness in the cage.

“If I did, it wouldn’t come from a place where I’m trying to fix my happiness or find a cure for it. That’s what it used to be before — thinking that winning a fight or achieving something would make me happy. If it ever happened again, it would come from a completely different place,” she explained.

Rousey also didn’t entirely shut down the idea of a comeback. Referencing Mike Tyson’s return to boxing, she made it clear that nothing’s off the table.

“It might still happen — and like I said, after seeing Mike Tyson compete now, you can never say never.”

For months, Rousey has reportedly been involved in MMA training again, fueling speculation about her future. Even Cris Cyborg recently called her out for a potential fight. While there’s still no official plan for a return, Rousey’s words were enough to get fans talking—especially since this is the most open she’s been about fighting again in years.

Rousey’s not chasing legacy anymore. If she comes back, it’s going to be on her own terms, for her own reasons.
