Roman Reigns Set to Wrap Up Filming for Street Fighter Movie Very Soon

Roman Reigns has been off WWE television since Clash in Paris as he has been busy filming for his role as Akuma in Street Fighter. As it turns out, he is set to wrap up filming very soon.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider notes that according to sources close to the production, Roman Reigns will be wrapping up his filming for the upcoming Street Fighter movie tomorrow in Australia.

This comes after Roman Reigns already gave fans a glimpse of his upcoming role as Akuma, one of the most legendary characters in Street Fighter. That was more than enough to excite fans about his role in the film.

It is to be noted that Roman Reigns is already advertised for the upcoming Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Perth, Australia and so he’ll obviously compete at the event one way or the other.

The film, produced by Paramount Pictures and Legendary, is scheduled to hit theaters on October 16, 2026. The star-studded cast includes Roman Reigns as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile, and several other big names taking on iconic Street Fighter characters. So we’ll have to see how the film will turn out in the end and whether Reigns will surpass all expectations as Akuma.
