Stephanie McMahon’s slaps were considered one of the most devastating moves in the business and back in the mid-2010s, McMahon often slapped stars. This included Roman Reigns and now it appears that McMahon actually injured Reigns during an infamous segment.
While speaking on the What’s Your Story? Podcast With Stephanie McMahon, Stephanie McMahon reminded Roman Reigns that he used to talk a lot of trash to her in the ring, saying, “You used to talk a lot of s*** to me in the ring.” Roman explained that he only did it because if he didn’t, she would slap him 15 times in a row, saying, “Only because I knew if I didn’t, you’d slap me 15 times in a row.”
Stephanie responded that they were on the same track, but Roman revealed that one of those slaps actually busted his eardrum and completely shattered it, something his doctor later confirmed.
“Busted my eardrum too. Shattered that sucker. The doctor was like, ‘Oh yeah!’”
Stephanie’s reaction was that he shouldn’t mess with her, saying, “Well don’t f*** with me!” Roman stated that if someone is going to hit, they should hit hard; her first few slaps were solid, saying, “That’s right. Hey, if you’re gonna hit somebody, hit ’em. Your first few were good.”
Stephanie McMahon then admitted that she got carried away because Roman wasn’t selling the slaps, so she decided to make him sell them for real.
“Right, and then I got carried away or something, ’cause you weren’t selling for me. And I was like, ‘I’ll make you sell.’”
The infamous segment took place during the December 14, 2015 edition of Monday Night Raw and saw Stephanie McMahon slap Roman Reigns multiple times.
Even Ronda Rousey suffered a concussion after getting slapped by Stephanie McMahon and you can add Lilian Garcia to the list as well. Regardless, Stephanie slapping Roman Reigns will always remain an iconic moment for Reigns and that’s never changing.
