Injuries are never in the plan for any pro wrestler, especially one who was seeing some momentum as a member of a good faction. Sadly, Leila Grey is injured, and now SkyFlight has a replacement for her.

SkyFlight has added a new face to its ranks, and the timing is no accident. Zayda Steel has officially joined the ROH faction, stepping into a spot opened up after Leila Grey was sidelined with a serious injury.

Christopher Daniels revealed the facts about bringing in another member to keep SkyFlight strong. Daniels later confirmed that Steel is now part of the crew, joining Daniels, Scorpio Sky, and Dante Martin and Darius Martin of Top Flight.

Zayda Steel’s connection to the group goes back to her ROH debut in December, when she confronted Grey. That led to a match at ROH Final Battle Zero Hour, where Grey picked up the win. The two showed mutual respect afterward, planting the seeds for what has now turned into a full-on alignment. Steel followed that up by defeating Rachael Ellering on the December 11 episode of ROH TV, continuing to build momentum inside the brand.

Leila Grey’s absence is due to a torn ACL, an injury she confirmed in mid-December 2025. The injury went down during a match on AEW Collision against Mercedes Moné.

SkyFlight officially formed on July 5, 2025 at Collision 100. This went down when Scorpio Sky returned from hiatus and answered Max Caster’s open challenge. After that match, he aligned with Daniels, Top Flight, and Grey. Now, with Zayda Steel in the fold, the group enters its next chapter with a new member and renewed direction.
