ROH has been doing really well lately, with great matches and interesting storylines and Tony Khan wants to carry the momentum into ROH Final Battle. Final Battle has always been a great event for fans over the years, and judging by the card for this year’s event, it’s safe to say fans are in for a treat.
The annual Survival of the Fittest returns this year as Bandido defends his ROH World Championship in the ultimate endurance match, where mistakes can eliminate a contender. Bandido has his work cut out for him as he’ll face Blake Christian, The Beast Mortos, Sammy Guevara, Komander and Hechicero. So we’ll have to see who will come out on top in the end.
Mercedes Moné will put her ROH Women’s World Television Championship on the line against Red Velvet at Final Battle. Velvet has been calling out the CEO of AEW for almost a year and so, fans can expect a great match between the two since their in-ring skills are at a very high level.
Athena has dominated the division with her record-breaking reign as ROH Women’s Champion. However, she faces her toughest challenge yet as Persephone’s determined to end Athena’s reign for good. So we’ll just have to see if Persephone can finally accomplish what so many women have failed to do.
Ricochet is already set to defend his AEW National Championship after winning it at Full Gear, since he’ll put it on the line against “The Peacock” Dalton Castle. Considering the difference in their styles, fans can definitely expect a really solid match.
After weeks of pure-style wrestling, the inaugural ROH Pure Women’s Champion will finally be crowned. Deonna Purrazzo advanced to the finals after Queen Aminata was not cleared to compete, while Billie Starkz defeated Yuka Sakazaki to advance. So now it remains to be seen who will win the finals and become the inaugural ROH Pure Women’s Champion, as it could go either way.
Shane Taylor Promotions will defend the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships against Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin & Darius Martin. In another bout, Sammy Guevara & The Beast Mortos will put their ROH World Tag Team Championships on the line against Adam Priest & Tommy Billington.
Lee Moriarty will also duke it out with Nigel McGuinness in a 30-minute Iron Man match, so there will be a lot of technical excellence in the bout. Eddie Kingston will face Josh Woods in what will be a hard-hitting match. Finally, Ace Austin will go one-on-one with Lee Johnson to prove who’s the better wrestler.
ROH Final Battle promises to be a memorable show, with matches such as Mercedes Moné vs. Red Velvet and more, so it’s definitely something fans shouldn’t miss. ROH Final Battle will be taking place at GalaxyCon in Columbus, Ohio, on December 5th. The Zero Hour pre-show will begin at 7 PM ET and the main show will air at 8 PM ET and fans can watch the main show on ROH Honor Club. So, fans look forward to a lot of great action at the event.
