Ring of Honor Wrestling just brought back Global Wars—but they’re cutting it close on the clock.
ROH announced on December 11 that Global Wars UK will air on December 18 via Honor Club. That gives fans just seven days’ notice to get ready for one of the promotion’s international showcase events. The announcement came via a quick social media post, with little detail and no matches announced. ROH tweeted:
“Next week on Honor Club, it is Global Wars UK! Do not miss the action at http://WatchROH.com!”
The event will likely feature matches taped before and after AEW’s tour stops in the UK. AEW is set to run Collision in Cardiff, Wales on December 13, followed by a Dynamite and Collision taping in Manchester, England on December 17. Ring of Honor matches are typically filmed around these AEW tapings, which makes the timing fit.
Still, ROH giving just one week of notice—and without a single match announced—has left some fans scratching their heads. The Global Wars name has history, especially with its roots in past collaborations, but this version arrives with more mystery than momentum.
ROH has not provided a card, lineup, or talent list for the show, though stars from both AEW and ROH are expected to appear.
