Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may be making waves on the film circuit, but don’t expect to see him back in a WWE ring anytime soon—despite what social media might be telling you.

On September 26, 2025, a wave of reports started circulating online claiming that The Rock would be returning to WWE for Survivor Series. That rumor? Completely fake.

Ringside News can confirm that there is currently no internal talk within WWE about The Rock being involved with this year’s event. In fact, it’s worth noting that one of the reasons The Rock didn’t commit to WrestleMania 41 earlier this year was due to an already packed post-Mania schedule. His slate included intense work on The Smashing Machine and preparations for a major film project alongside Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Emily Blunt—a Hawaii-based crime epic described as “The Departed” meets “Goodfellas.”

Additionally, The Rock recently surfaced at the Venice Film Festival sporting a jaw-dropping 60-pound weight loss. While some fans speculated a wrestling return was imminent, it’s actually tied to his demanding Hollywood roles, not a surprise return to WWE.

For now, The Rock’s focus is on movies, not wrestling. So if you’re dreaming of The Final Boss showing up at Survivor Series, it’s time to wake up.

Were you hoping The Rock would return at Survivor Series? What match would you want to see him in when he finally comes back? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
