The Rock made appearances on both the first RAW and WWE NXT episodes of 2025, proudly showing off his People’s Championship title. Fans started wondering when he would appear next, and they didn’t have to wait long. The Final Boss is set to appear on SmackDown this week. Ahead of his return, The Rock revealed his plans for the show.
The Final Boss took to his Instagram and commented on his post where he originally announced his appearance for the February 21st edition of Friday Night SmackDown in New Orleans.
In an update, The Rock revealed his plans for his appearance on SmackDown this week. The Great One is arriving to take care of business, bring a special gift to New Orleans, and completely ruin someone’s night with the Final Boss gospel.
“The Final Boss is coming to handle business, deliver a big beautiful gift to the city of New Orleans and f*** up a certain someone’s life with the Final Boss gospel. #smackdown”
Many fans had lost hope The Rock would return to WWE again after it was announced he would be working alongside Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Emily Blunt for a Hawaii-set crime epic described as “The Departed” meets “Goodfellas”.
Regardless, we will have to wait and see whose life The Rock will try to ruin on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Considering the fact that The Rock and Cody Rhodes still have unresolved issues, fans wouldn’t be surprised to see the two interact during the show this week.
