The Rock Receives Dave LaGreca’s Infamous “Cody Crybaby” Pink Robe as a Gift

The Rock and Busted Open Radio’s Dave LaGreca have turned one of their most viral moments into a sign of respect. Fans will remember back in 2024 when The Rock mocked LaGreca for wearing a pink bathrobe and called him a “Cody crybaby” while defending Cody Rhodes’ spot in WWE. Fast forward to 2025, and LaGreca has now gifted The Rock that very same robe.

In a video posted by Busted Open Radio on Twitter, LaGreca can be seen handing The Rock the original pink robe, joking about where he had to get it from.

“I know we haven’t always seen eye to eye, so I have a gift for you. This is the original pink robe that I wore in the video, so I’ve given that to you. I took it out of the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame to give it to you.”

The Rock accepted the robe with gratitude but made it clear he wouldn’t be trying it on.

“Thank you very much, I appreciate it. No, I’m not gonna put it on. I’ll hold on to it.”

Later, The Rock took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the gesture, calling it a meaningful moment and praising the sense of community in pro wrestling.

“As global as pro wrestling has become, it will always be a very tight knit community with our own secret language and fun, yet meaningful gestures. @davidlagreca1’s infamous Pink Robe. This is a big deal 😊🥂 Thank you my brother, keep killing it, and give ‘the boys’ my love 👊🏾”

What started out as a playful jab in 2024 has now evolved into a show of mutual respect between The Rock and LaGreca. Their exchange proves that even in a global industry, small gestures like this still carry big meaning.
