Universal Studios Hollywood is going full throttle with its brand-new thrill ride, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, but there’s still no word on whether franchise icons The Rock or John Cena will be involved.

The new coaster is set to open in 2026 and replaces the former Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction, which previously The Rock as Hobbs in the grand finale of the studio tour. A version of that ride still operates at Universal Orlando, but the Hollywood version is now history.

As for Hollywood Drift, the status of both The Rock and John Cena remains uncertain. There’s been no confirmation if either star will appear in the new attraction in any capacity—be it voice, visuals, or in-character moments.

KTLA shared fresh footage of the ride undergoing testing, showing off high-speed track runs and teasing the ride’s max speed of 72 mph. Universal has also dropped an official preview video, giving fans a sneak peek of the high-octane experience. However, neither Johnson nor Cena are mentioned or shown.
