Rob Van Dam is officially gearing up for his return to the ring after months on the shelf.
The WWE Hall of Famer made the announcement during his appearance on TMZ Inside The Ring, where he shared an update on his health and confirmed that his first match back is scheduled for early 2026.
RVD has been recovering from a painful injury—both heels broken—that’s kept him out of action for around six months. Asked how he’s feeling these days, RVD confirmed he’s finally ready to lace up his boots again:
“Yeah, I’m good now. It’s been like, uh… I was just figuring that out. It’s been, I guess, 6 months or so. And so… I haven’t wrestled yet. I do have a match in Australia in February. That’ll be the test. But yeah, I’m much better.”
While fans are pumped to see him back in action, RVD also opened up about what else he’s dealing with behind the scenes. His wife is currently in the hospital due to preeclampsia as the couple prepares to welcome twins around Christmas. Despite the stress, the ECW legend made it clear that he’s mentally and physically getting ready to step back in the ring.
If all goes according to plan, RVD’s comeback match in February 2026 will mark a major moment in his storied career—one that has seen him become one of the most unique and enduring performers of his generation.
