Brian “Road Dogg” James is already lining up wrestling appearances following his recent departure from WWE.

Ohio Valley Wrestling announced on March 16 that the WWE Hall of Famer will appear at their upcoming Fan Appreciation Night event on March 19. The show will take place at Hotpoint Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky and will feature Road Dogg as a special guest for the evening.

OVW promoted the appearance while thanking fans ahead of the event and confirming that the legendary tag team star will be part of the show.

“OVW Fan Appreciation Night is coming March 19, and we’re saying THANK YOU to the best fans in wrestling with a massive special guest… WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg will be LIVE at Hotpoint Davis Arena!”

The announcement comes shortly after Road Dogg stepped away from WWE earlier in March. James had been working behind the scenes with the company as part of the creative team before his departure.

Unlike many wrestlers who leave WWE and are subject to non-compete clauses, Road Dogg’s situation appears to allow him to accept appearances right away. His upcoming OVW appearance is one of the first confirmed bookings since leaving the company.

Road Dogg remains one of the most recognizable personalities from WWE’s Attitude Era thanks to his run as part of D-Generation X and his tag team success with Billy Gunn as the New Age Outlaws.

With his OVW appearance already announced and other convention appearances also on the schedule during WrestleMania weekend, it looks like Road Dogg isn’t wasting any time getting back out in front of wrestling fans.
