Ridge Holland just gave fans a major update on his health—and it’s finally some good news after a long road of pain and frustration.
The former WWE Superstar revealed in a video posted to Instagram that he recently underwent successful neck surgery. Holland confirmed he had an artificial disc replacement spanning from C5 to C7 and gave props to the staff at Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan for taking care of him.
“Surgery went well. C5 to C7 artificial disc replacement. Thank you to the amazing care at @hspecialsurgery Manhattan. And thank you for all the messages of support. I’ll get back to you all over the next few days. #therebuild”
The surgery marks a big step forward for Holland, who’s been dealing with neck issues for quite some time. It also comes after a messy exit from WWE, where he claimed he was released while injured and struggling to pay his mortgage. Despite that, it’s been reported that WWE still covered the cost of the surgery.
For now, Ridge is focusing on recovery. Whether or not he ever returns to the ring remains to be seen, but his health is clearly the priority—and fans are relieved to hear he’s doing okay.
