Ridge Holland just rolled out a whole new vibe—and it’s got fans talking.
At the July 19 WWE NXT live event in Tampa, Florida, the former Brawling Brute showed up with a completely revamped look and a brand-new nickname: “The Steam Pig.” That’s right—Holland hit the ring with updated ring gear, a custom logo, and even a headband, stepping further away from his old persona than ever before.
Holland, who has spent much of 2024 in NXT after a run on the main roster, has been off TV for a bit but has stayed active with appearances on EVOLVE. He recently started a feud with rising talent Tate Wilder, and the two faced off again in Tampa during the untelevised NXT event.
Fans in attendance were quick to note the shift. Holland wore a new jacket and trunks bearing “The Steam Pig” branding, signaling that the nickname is here to stay. The headband was also a first—rounding out what seems to be a full character reset.
One fan posted ringside photos and wrote:
“Ridge Holland just came out with ‘Steam Pig’ on his gear… this dude is going full send on the gimmick.”
It wasn’t just Holland testing out a new look this weekend either. Zaria also appeared at another NXT live event without her usual braids, opting instead to wrestle with her hair down—a small change, but one that had longtime fans doing double takes.
So is “The Steam Pig” a one-off experiment or the start of Ridge Holland’s next chapter in WWE?
