Ricochet didn’t hold back after seeing Je’Von Evans get hyped as the future of wrestling. In fact, he made it crystal clear where he stands.

It all started when Forbes writer Alfred Konuwa posted on X and declared that Evans is “the future of wrestling,” claiming that Evans will be so valuable, even AEW would offer to rebuild burned bridges. Konuwa’s exact comment read:

“Je’Von Evans is the future of wrestling. It’s not even close. He’ll bring a new generation of YN fans that will replace the bad-built, bad-hygiene dorks who waste space in the IWC. He’ll be so valuable in free agency, AEW will offer cold water for that bridge he allegedly burnt😂”

Ricochet jumped into the replies and backed the praise—before completely flipping the tone with one ruthless line.

“You’re right, Je’Von is the future! Doesn’t change the fact I’d still squash him like a bug!”

That sentence was enough to restart the fire between Ricochet and Evans, who had previously traded jabs earlier this year in a now-deleted back-and-forth that included shots at WWE’s Performance Center, AEW, and even Shawn Michaels.

Ricochet continues to flex his confidence since joining AEW, and this latest shot suggests he’s still watching WWE closely—especially when names like Je’Von Evans are brought up.

Think Ricochet is right? Would he really squash Je’Von Evans—or is he underestimating the WWE breakout star? Let us know what you think.
