Fans were shocked at WWE Elimination Chamber when John Cena turned heel and joined The Rock. Rapper Travis Scott was part of the moment but injured Cody Rhodes by bursting his eardrum. Many people blasted Travis Scott for what he did, but Ricochet believes Cody Rhodes got what he deserved.

While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Ricochet was asked if WWE should train celebrities before letting them get involved after Travis Scott legitimately hurt Cody Rhodes. Ricochet made it clear that he didn’t think it was a big deal.

Ricochet said Cody Rhodes got what he deserved because he was yelling and taunting people, saying that if one does that, one might get hit. Ricochet added that Cody Rhodes wasn’t paying attention and got smacked. Ricochet also claimed that it wouldn’t happen to him because he would be the one doing the smacking.

“No, no. That’s Cody. He got what he deserved—got smacked in the face. You go out there, and you want to taunt and scream profanities in people’s faces, they say ‘F you,’ and you’re going to get smacked. And that’s what happened. He had his hand down, head down—smacked him. Keep talking. Ain’t going to happen to me, though. I’m going to be the one doing the smacking.”

Interestingly enough, Swerve Strickland also defended Travis Scott after all the backlash he received for injuring Cody Rhodes. Unsurprisingly, Dave Meltzer reported that Scott got a lot of hate backstage following his actions as well.

WWE is thinking about having Travis Scott in future matches since he has been training with Booker T. Triple H believes Scott has a lot of potential, so it’s expected that he will be part of The Rock and John Cena’s storyline leading up to WrestleMania 41, despite all the backlash. Regardless, Ricochet continues to be a hater, and that’s unlikely to stop anytime soon.
