Ricky Saints is heading into NXT Stand & Deliver with plenty on the line, but he made it clear that the pressure isn’t just coming from the championship stakes. According to Saints, one of the biggest forces pushing talent to deliver at the highest level comes from the NXT women’s division.

While speaking on Getting Over: Wrestling Podcast about the responsibility of competing in one of the top matches on the Stand & Deliver card, Saints was asked whether there is added pressure knowing that many fans believed a women’s match could have headlined the event. That led him to openly praise the women’s roster and admit that their performances set the tone for everyone else on the show.

“Yes, absolutely. I think the women — the women on the roster are incredible. So every time I like that though — I like that type of sportsmanship type, you know, we — who can be better basically — who can be better — and the women do a fantastic job. They go out there and they kill it every single time. So every time one of us has to follow them, there's another heightened level of like, well, we have to follow that, so let's make sure we can — we got to keep up, you know.”

With Stand & Deliver serving as one of the brand’s biggest nights of the year, Saints and the rest of the roster understand that every match carries weight. If anything, his remarks show how internal competition can drive better performances across the board, particularly when one division continues to deliver at a consistently high level.

The reality is simple — when one part of the roster raises the standard, everyone else has to respond or risk being overshadowed. Saints doesn’t sound intimidated by that challenge. Instead, he appears to welcome it.

What do you think about Ricky Saints’ comments — do NXT’s women set the pace for the entire brand, or should the spotlight be shared more evenly across the roster? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
