Ricky Saints is officially in WWE NXT, and while his debut made an impact, it also reignited a familiar conversation—comparisons to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. With his undeniable charisma, sharp fashion sense, and natural presence on the mic, it didn’t take long for fans to draw parallels between Saints and The Great One.

But Saints isn’t trying to be The Rock—he’s making it clear that he’s his own man. Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Saints addressed the chatter, calling the comparisons “endearing” but reminding fans not to overlook who he really is.

“People love comparisons, right? And comparison is the thief of joy. You miss out on me fully if you do that. It’s a great comparison, and people think that I’m trying to do this thing and no, I always say, if anything, I’m taking from the people of New Orleans. This is just who I am, if you talk to me off camera, this is just who I am.”

If that wasn’t enough to make it official, Saints took things a step further on the February 18th edition of NXT, where he signed his WWE contract on-screen, making it clear that he’s here to stay.
