Rich Swann has faced personal challenges outside the ring, including an arrest for disorderly intoxication last year. This incident has brought attention to his struggles and now it appears his return to TNA Wrestling remains uncertain.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider recently held a Q&A session where he answered fan questions. One fan asked him about an update on Rich Swann and Johnson revealed that Swann is focusing on his sobriety and has even shaved his head to adopt a new look.
However, there is no confirmed information regarding when or if he will return to TNA at this point. Johnson mentioned that Swann has looked impressive in the ring during the matches he’s seen and expressed hope for his continued success moving forward.
Rich Swann was arrested on June 8 in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on charges of disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance, both misdemeanor offenses. The arrest report revealed that Swann tried to force his way into an apartment, possibly mistaking it for his own. The resident inside, feeling threatened, confronted Swann with a gun, causing him to back away and leave.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Swann has entered a “nolo contendere” plea, which means he neither admits nor denies the charges but chooses not to plead guilty or not guilty.
Rich Swann is still suspended from TNA Wrestling, and it’s unclear when or if he will return. However, fans are happy to hear that he is doing better and focusing on getting better, with his health being the most important thing right now, even though his future with TNA is uncertain.
