Rhio isn’t going anywhere—at least not yet.

The British wrestling standout just defended her spot in PROGRESS Wrestling in a high-stakes showdown against Nina Samuels at the Super Strong Style 16 Day 1 event. With her PROGRESS career on the line, Rhio walked out with the Women’s World Title still in hand, shutting down immediate rumors of a WWE departure.

WWE has had its eyes on Rhio for a while now. Back in March, she reportedly received “heavy attention” during the company’s talent tryouts in London. And while she’s appeared at recent NXT tapings and completed a UK tryout, Reports confirmed she’s “not currently listed on the internal NXT roster.” That hasn’t stopped the speculation, especially with the added drama surrounding her recent PROGRESS match.

Following her big win, PROGRESS announced that a women’s edition of its Super Strong Style tournament will debut next year—suggesting Rhio’s reign and presence in the UK indie scene isn’t over just yet.

WWE’s interest is clearly real, but for now, Rhio is still repping PROGRESS and holding gold. Whether she signs a deal and heads to NXT remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: she’s on the radar.
