The May 7 episode of AEW Dynamite was full of memorable moments from start to finish, and this included Rhino making his debut for the company. Fans have been wondering if he actually signed with the company and now his contractual status has been revealed.

According to Fightful Select, Rhino is not currently under contract with AEW. His appearances this week on AEW television were only for the shows in Detroit and nothing more.

The pro wrestling legend ended up challenging Nick Wayne for ROH World Television Championship since he was an opponent from Christian Cage’s past. Fans were happy to see him but Rhino ended up losing to Wayne in a very quick match.

While fans were excited to see Rhino return to a national wrestling show, his AEW appearance seems to have been more of a cameo rather than the start of a full-time run, which is disappointing for many.

Even though Rhino isn’t officially signed with AEW, his surprise appearance gave a major rub to Nick Wayne and created a special moment for the Detroit crowd. It’s unclear if he’ll return again, but fans will cherish the moment they got to share with Rhino.
