Rhea Ripley’s popularity has made her a global icon, but it’s a double-edged sword since there’s always the chance she will have to deal with stalkers. Unfortunately, it appears Ripley has now revealed that a crazy woman stalked her house this year.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Rhea Ripley revealed a scary experience that happened at her house this year. She said they checked their Ring camera and saw a woman standing at the front door. At first, Rhea didn’t think much of it, but the woman kept ringing the doorbell and just stood there for a long time.
Later, some friends from Australia who live nearby came to pick up mail and handed her something they thought was fan mail. That’s when Ripley realized someone had found out her home address, which she said is not okay and crosses a line.
“We looked at the Ring camera, and there’s some crazychick at our door, and I didn’t think anything of it. And I was like, Why does she keep ringing the doorbell and just stand there for eternity? And then we had our Australian friends who live near us, and they came to pick up our mail, and they go, ‘This is for Rhea Ripley. I think it’s fan mail?’ I was like, Oh no, who the hell has my address? That’s just something that people shouldn’t be doing. That’s kind of like crossing the line. We are normal people outside of work, and we like our privacy. We like to have our normal humanity.”
When Rhea Ripley watched the doorbell video again, the crazy woman looked really creepy, almost like a character from the horror movie Smile. She got very close to the camera and smiled in a weird way. Then she looked at her phone, smiled again, and stayed there for about ten minutes. She left, came back and did it again, and even returned wearing different clothes and rang the doorbell once more.
“But I went back and I watched the Ring doorbell, and this chick was like she just came out of the movie Smile. I’m sorry if you’re watching this lady, but you were terrifying. She was scary, she rang the doorbell, she got real close to it and just smiles so creepily.”
Rhea said it seemed like the woman thought they were home because their cars were parked outside. She admitted she would’ve been really scared if she had opened the door and found the woman just standing there.
Ripley had no idea what the woman might have done. What scared her even more was that she didn’t know how the woman got into their gated community, which usually doesn’t let anyone in. The whole situation made her feel very unsafe.
“Then she looks at her phone and she smiles again, and she did this for so long. She was there for like 10 minutes, and then she left, came back, did it again, and then she left, and then she came back wearing something different and rang the doorbell. I was just like this lady really thinks that we’re home, the cars are there because we left them there. If I were home, I wouldn’t know what to do. If I opened the door and she was just standing there, what could have happened? She could have done anything, I don’t know you; you could have attacked me, and I don’t know how she got her car in the gate. We have a gated community, no one lets you in, terrifying.”
This scary situation is a reminder that WWE Superstars need to stay safe and protect their privacy. While they enjoy meeting fans, their personal space must be respected. Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez also had to deal with stalkers this year, and we hope things like this never happen again.
