Rhea Ripley got her win at WWE Night of Champions, but it didn’t come without consequences.
The former champion battled Raquel Rodriguez in a vicious Riyadh Boulevard Street Fight, which ended with Ripley pulling off an Avalanche Riptide from the top of a table balanced on the ropes. After the match, Ripley admitted that fear crept in during that moment, worried the table would collapse beneath her. Luckily, the risky move worked, and she walked away with the victory.
Ripley was visibly banged up after the fight. During her post-match interview, she held her ribs and explained they were bruised from multiple kendo stick shots and the overall brutality of the match. Despite the pain, Ripley didn’t seem too concerned and made it clear she isn’t planning on slowing down.
With the WWE Women’s World Championship picture wide open, Ripley has her eyes on reclaiming the title. At just 28 years old and with years of experience under her belt, she’s made it known that her quest to dominate the division is far from over.
Jade Cargill, fresh off her Queen of the Ring victory, will challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. Whether Ripley inserts herself back into the title scene remains to be seen — but it’s clear she’s not backing down.
What do you think — is Ripley on her way back to championship gold, or will Jade Cargill steal the spotlight? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
