Rhea Ripley Addresses Potential On-Screen Angle with Buddy Matthews

Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews are currently in two separate companies but now Ripley has seemingly hinted at a possible on-screen angle with her husband.

While speaking to Allenownz Wrasslin, Rhea Ripley talked about how surprising it was to work with Dominik Mysterio. She said if someone asked her before, she would have never thought it would happen. But once it did, it felt right, and they worked really well together. That’s why it’s hard for her to say what might happen in the future.

The Eradicator said there are a lot of things that could happen. She doesn’t know if her husband will ever come back to WWE. If he does, maybe they could work together on TV, but she’s really not sure, so anything could happen.

“It’s hard to really tell. ’Cause like, if you asked me beforehand, I would’ve said that it would’ve never happened in the first place. But then there we were — me and Dom together, you know? So it’s like… it’s hard to tell what the future holds. And like, there’s just so many possibilities that could potentially happen. Like, I don’t know if my husband will ever come back. I don’t know. I don’t know. If he does come back, then we could do something on TV. I don’t know. Anything could really happen.”

Rhea Ripley also said she loved the way her character and Dominik’s character fit together. She was the strong one, and he was the sneaky one and they made a great team.

Ripley doesn’t know if she could ever create that kind of chemistry with someone else. It just happened naturally, and she thinks that might be something she can only do with her husband, not anyone else.

“But like just to see like Rhea, the brute that she is, in a relationship with Dominik Mysterio out of all people — and have that dynamic where like I’m the muscle but he’s like sneaky — and it’s just like, I don’t know. We bounce off each other so well. I don’t know if I want to try and recreate that at all with anyone else or if that was like my one and done, because that was just something that came together so organically that I don’t think I can create with someone that isn’t my husband.”

This comes after Buddy Matthews made it clear he doesn’t rule out returning to WWE so that he can work with Rhea Ripley. Therefore, we’ll have to see if Matthews comes back to WWE so that they can work together on WWE television.
