Rey Mysterio might be known for his masked legacy and his son Dominik’s rise in WWE, but now another member of the Mysterio family could be following in his footsteps — his daughter Aalyah.

While speaking with Jeff Teague and 520, Rey shared a rare behind-the-scenes moment about Aalyah’s interest in getting into the ring. The conversation turned to training and the physical toll of wrestling, which prompted Rey to reveal that his daughter had been pressing him to bring her to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

“My daughter had always had the curiosity to step in the ring. So she goes, ‘When are you taking me? When are you taking me?’ For about a year and a half. So I said, ‘Okay, I’m going to Orlando. Let’s go.’ She went up with me. She jumped in the ring and she loved it, man.”

According to Rey, Aalyah did more than just pose in the ropes — she went through basic tumbling and beginner drills, showing genuine excitement despite the pain that came with it.

“She was hitting the ropes, rolling… doing all that like the generic stuff, basic stuff, beginner stuff. But yeah, the ring’s on another level, man. Especially the ropes. When you hit those ropes… she was all bruised from her back and shoulders.”

Rey didn’t confirm whether Aalyah plans to pursue wrestling long-term, but just like Dominik once did, it sounds like she’s testing the waters. With two kids now flirting with wrestling, the Mysterio family might be on its way to becoming a full-blown dynasty inside the squared circle.

Whether it’s breaking barriers in WCW, reinventing himself in WWE, or supporting his kids’ dreams, Rey Mysterio continues to be one of wrestling’s most influential figures—both in and out of the ring.
