Rey Mysterio Promises to Bring Back Alberto Del Rio During AAA TripleMania XXXIII

There has been a lot of talk about Alberto Del Rio possibly going back to WWE after his AAA exit, and now Rey Mysterio has fanned the flames since he promised to bring back Del Rio.

During AAA’s TripleMania XXXIII show, fans started chanting Alberto Del Rio’s name while Rey Mysterio was in the ring. Instead of ignoring them, the Master of the 619 actually responded to the fans in Spanish, promising to bring back Del Rio, saying, “I’ll bring him, wait for me.”

This comes after Alberto Del Rio lost to El Mesias on the July 25, 2025 edition of AAA Alianzas, effectively exiling him from the company. It was then reported Del Rio’s status with WWE “has not changed and many assumed there’s no way he’d be back.”

While Del Rio’s future in WWE hasn’t been confirmed, it’s clear there’s interest behind the scenes. We had then reported that there are no plans for Del Rio to go to the U.S., but that could change, especially since even Rey Mysterio has now promised to bring back Del Rio.

Rey Mysterio’s comments have fans talking and wondering if Alberto Del Rio might really return to WWE. It’s not clear yet if it will happen, but Mysterio’s support suggests the chance isn’t completely gone. Given Mysterio’s pull in the company and Del Rio’s past in WWE, we really shouldn’t be surprised if Del Rio does come back soon.
