The collaboration between TNA Wrestling and WWE has been a major talking point since May 2024, when Jordynne Grace made a surprise appearance on WWE NXT. Since then, multiple wrestlers have moved between both promotions and now Rey Mysterio has shown interest in possibly competing in TNA.
While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Rey Mysterio noted that he is open to the idea of competing in TNA as part of their partnership with WWE. He came close to making a move when he left WWE in 2014, but for some reason, it didn’t work out. During that time, he returned to AAA and also competed in Lucha Underground.
Despite his experiences elsewhere, he has always remained loyal to WWE in the United States. Now, he sees the possibility of working with TNA as something worth considering and potentially crossing off his bucket list.
“Never, and I was very close when I left in 2014. For some reason, it wasn’t manageable. But I did go back to AAA, and of course, I went to Lucha Underground.
But I’ve always been loyal to WWE here on the American side, or in the U.S. So, I think that might be something we need to cross off the bucket list. Why not, right?”
WWE’s long-term agreement with TNA Wrestling is set to shake up the industry, bringing advantages to both organizations. It remains to be seen when Rey Mysterio will make his way to TNA, as fans are eager for it to happen, especially since even Dominik Mysterio is open to crossing over to TNA Wrestling as well.
