AAA and WWE didn’t work together for decades, but that changed when TKO came into the picture. Now AAA is practically a WWE property, and that also means their stars grace AAA’s ring from time to time.

Fox saw AAA’s debut on their platform, and that called for a lot of attention on the Mexican pro wrestling company. Rey Mysterio has history with the company, but that didn’t end when he signed with WWE.

Rey Mysterio was on hand during AAA’s Fox show this week. He did not wrestle, but Mr. 6-1-9 had a chance to cut a promo in Spanish. When his speech was translated, it was clear that the WWE Hall of Famer spoke from the heart.

"You're going to make me cry, damn it. Good evening, Mexico—how are you? It's truly a pleasure to be here with you tonight. This arena brings back so many memories. But being here now, to welcome all of you to the new era of Lucha Libre AAA on Fox, is something special. Let me tell you—more than 30 years ago, a 17-year-old kid with a dream of becoming a wrestler walked into this very same company..."

After he cut a promo in the ring, Rey Mysterio hugged a bunch of people all over the ringside area. He is certainly beloved in the company, and they were very happy to have him.

This was a great appearance for Rey Mysterio in AAA. Only time will tell what happens next for this legend in Mexico.
