Penta’s Intercontinental Title win may have just opened the door to a very interesting challenge — from his own brother.
On March 4, 2026, Fenix took to Twitter to congratulate Penta after his Intercontinental Championship victory on WWE Raw. The message started as a heartfelt tribute to his brother’s achievement. Fenix wrote:
“Congratulations, my cool brother! ❤️ No one deserves this award more than you! Your discipline and love for this sport will bring you so much more than this. I'm so proud to be your brother. Congrats brother, you will always be my favorite luchador, I love you.”
However, the tone quickly changed when Fenix hinted that he might want to step into the ring with Penta again. Fenix posted a graphic from one of their past matches, which immediately led to speculation that the two brothers could eventually face each other in WWE: “I miss sharing the ring with you, but now I think; would it be good to relive old times?”
The tease comes just days after Penta captured the Intercontinental Championship on the March 2, 2026 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Dirty Dom faced Penta in the second hour of the Netflix broadcast in a match that turned into a chaotic match.
After avoiding a 6-1-9 attempt, Penta nailed a Mexican Destroyer and followed it with a Penta Driver to score the pinfall and capture his first title in WWE. Now, with Rey Fenix publicly congratulating his brother while hinting at “reliving old times,” the door may already be opening for a potential lucha bout in WWE.
If WWE decides to run with it, Penta vs. Rey Fenix could quickly become one of the most anticipated matches on the roster. So the question now is simple — should WWE make that match happen? Let us know your thoughts.
