énix debuted in 2007 on the Mexican independent circuit before signing with AAA in 2011. As a pioneer, he became AAA Fusion, Mega, Latin American, and Cruiserweight Champion, and a Triple Crown Champion in Lucha Underground. Teaming with his brother Penta (Pentagón Jr.), the Lucha Brothers captured multiple tag reigns across MLW, Impact, PWG, AEW, ROH, and AAA. After joining AEW in 2019 as part of Death Triangle, he moved to WWE in April 2025, wrestling under his iconic mask on SmackDown.
Rey Fénix remains one of lucha libre’s most dedicated masked wrestlers, guarding his private life by tradition.
