Red Velvet is officially out of action this weekend — but she just made it clear this is not the end of her story.

After Tony Khan confirmed during Tuesday’s pre-show media scrum that the ROH Women’s Television Champion is injured and off the cards for both ROH Supercard of Honor and AEW All In: Texas, Velvet herself dropped an emotional update on social media Tuesday night.

“Not the news I wanted to share,” she wrote. “I won’t be cleared to compete at Supercard of Honor due to injury. Don’t get it twisted — this is just a pause, not the end. To the new Interim ROH Women’s TV Champ, congrats in advance. Hold it down, because when I come back? I’m coming for it ALL.”

Velvet’s injury removes her from Friday’s Supercard of Honor at Esports Stadium in Arlington and Saturday’s AEW All In: Texas event at Globe Life Field. No details have been shared about the nature or severity of her injury, but AEW will crown an interim champion in her absence — a strong signal that her title reign isn’t over, just temporarily on hold.

With AEW and ROH running back-to-back major events in Texas this weekend, Velvet’s absence definitely changes the energy in the women’s division — but judging by her words, it won’t be long before she’s back to reclaim her spot.

Do you think Red Velvet will come back stronger and reclaim her title? Or will the interim champ hold their ground? Drop your predictions in the comments.
