Rebel just shared another heartbreaking update in her ongoing health battle—this time confirming she’s now officially classified as disabled.
The AEW star took to Instagram on January 16, 2026, posting a photo of her new disabled parking permit and opening up about her condition with raw honesty.
“It saddens me to say it’s official. Disabled. But I’m working on getting into a better rehab.”
This latest update comes just two months after Rebel revealed she had been diagnosed with primary pulmonary lymphoma—a rare form of lung cancer—after being misdiagnosed and mistreated for over a year. In a video she posted in November 2025, Rebel shared that she was initially told she had cryptococcal pneumonia and spent 12 months on anti-fungal medication, only to later find out it was cancer all along.
“In May of 2024 I was hospitalized for what I thought was Cryptococcal pneumonia… I went a year on anti-fungals, but I was not getting better. After a year… I went to the Mayo Clinic. They found that it was not Cryptococcal pneumonia this whole time, and that it is primary pulmonary lymphoma, which is cancer in the lungs.”
On top of the cancer diagnosis, Rebel also revealed she was suffering from Functional Neurological Disorder—a devastating condition that robbed her of basic mobility and motor skills. She explained that it had affected her ability to walk, speak, and even use her right hand.
“I have picked up a little disorder called Functional Neurological Disorder, and it has taken my ability to walk and my ability to speak. I also lost some ability and function in my right hand and have a claw hand.”
Before she could even begin cancer treatment, Rebel had to tackle a dangerous infection with IV antibiotics. She was hopeful that she could begin radiation or chemotherapy in early 2026—but now, the tone has shifted. Her latest post doesn’t mention treatment progress, only the difficult reality of her new status.
Despite the devastating update, Rebel remains focused on recovery. She’s now working to get into a more advanced rehab program in hopes of regaining more functionality as she continues her fight.
Rebel’s journey has been filled with pain, misdiagnosis, and unimaginable setbacks—but her honesty and strength in the face of it all continue to inspire fans. Being officially declared disabled hasn’t ended her fight—it’s just added another chapter to a story of resilience.
