Rebel has shared another painful update in her ongoing health battle — revealing that her condition has continued to worsen as she fights to regain basic independence.
After previously confirming she had been officially classified as disabled, the AEW star took to Instagram again on February 24, 2026, offering a deeply personal look at her current physical state. The update makes it clear that while she remains determined, the road has become even more difficult. She began by explaining that multiple rehab attempts have not produced the progress she hoped for, leading her to seek more intensive treatment.
“I’ve been trying a few different rehabs, and I’m not getting great results. While I’m waiting for doctors to figure out what to do next, I was able to get into an inpatient rehab.”
Rebel detailed the range of therapies she’s currently undergoing, making it clear just how much her mobility and motor function have declined.
“I’m doing speech therapy for my speech. Chewing and swallowing are difficult. I’m getting occupational therapy to help me raise my hands because they’re clawing. It’s very hard for me to open a Ziploc bag, cook, brush my teeth, put on deodorant, or even wipe myself. It’s a lot, guys.”
She described the physical strain of even the smallest movements, explaining that everyday tasks now feel like intense workouts.
“It feels like I have 40-pound weights hanging off my wrists when I try to lift them, so everything is a workout.”
In addition to occupational and speech therapy, she is also undergoing physical therapy to help with walking and balance. For now, safety precautions are necessary.
“I’m also getting physical therapy to help with my walking and my gait. Right now, I’m walking with a walker. I can walk without it, but I’m a big fall risk, so we take precautions.”
Despite the deterioration she described, Rebel’s message was not without hope. She thanked supporters and reiterated her determination to regain independence.
“Thank you guys for all the prayers. I’m staying strong and looking to get stronger and hopefully regain some independence because I can’t wash my hair by myself. If I try, it’s really hard.”
She also admitted how much she misses her former life on the road and in front of cameras — but made it clear that rehab is part of a bigger goal.
“I definitely miss being on the road and on TV. That’s why I’m here at rehab in the hospital — because I plan on getting back and getting stronger. I know I sound different with my speech, but at least I can still speak.”
The update paints a devastating picture of how much her body has been impacted by primary pulmonary lymphoma and Functional Neurological Disorder. But even as she describes worsening symptoms, Rebel continues to frame rehab as preparation for a comeback — not a surrender.
