As seen on Saturday’s NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III event, Adam Cole made his debut on the NXT roster and attacked Drew McIntyre with the help of Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Fish.
Dave Meltzer indicated on the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE decided to pair Kyle O’Reilly & Adam Fish with Adam Cole because of Cole’s size as a heel. Meltzer noted that the feud with Cole vs. Drew McIntyre brings an interesting dynamic with a small heel battling a large babyface.
