Enzo Amore isn’t holding his breath for a WWE return—but he’s also not counting it out entirely.

The former WWE Superstar, now going by The Realest One, addressed the one question he hears constantly while speaking on the No Contest Wrestling podcast: Will he ever go back to WWE?

"You know, people ask me all the time, ‘Bro, when are you going back to WWE?’ I mean, it’s the most common question I get everywhere I go," Enzo said. "And to be honest with you, I’ve never called them. I’ve reached out via text message, I’ve gotten responses, which is cool, but I’ve never actually picked up the phone. And they never called me, that’s for damn sure."

Enzo clarified that he doesn’t have a concrete answer on whether a return is in the cards. But if it hasn’t happened yet, he thinks he knows why.

"So I don’t answer that question with a ‘It’s definitely going to happen’ or ‘It’s definitely not going to happen.’ I just don’t know if it ever will. And I have to look at it and say, why wouldn’t it happen? Well s**, for one, people are scared s******* of me."*

The outspoken star believes that if WWE ever gave him a live mic and put him in the same segment as Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns, the ratings would skyrocket.

"I’m telling you right now — you put me on that microphone and send me out there with Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns, you’re going to see a rating pop that you haven’t seen in a decade," he claimed. "I believe that if you let me tell my story about how Dusty Rhodes would look at me after I cut a promo and say, ‘Daniel, that was some John Wayne s**,’ you’d see something special."*

Enzo Amore was fired from WWE in 2018 following sexual assault allegations that were later dropped due to insufficient evidence. Since then, he’s found success across the independent circuit, including an appearance at TNA Slammiversary earlier this year.

Whether or not WWE decides to bring him back, Enzo doesn’t seem to be waiting by the phone. But he’s ready—just in case.
