Just days after officially wrapping up his in-ring career at the 2026 Royal Rumble, AJ Styles made headlines again—this time for showing up at WWE Headquarters alongside Tiffany Stratton. Now we know exactly why.

In a new post, Stephanie McMahon confirmed that Styles is the next guest on her podcast, What’s Your Story. She wrote:

“Honored to have as my next guest…The Phenomenal, @AJStylesOrg! An all new #whatsyourstory drops tomorrow morning wherever you get your pods.”

The timing couldn’t be more fitting. Styles’ final match—a dramatic loss to GUNTHER via sleeper hold in Riyadh—capped off an incredible career. Triple H later confirmed AJ had informed him personally, saying, “He’s done with the in-ring part.”

His WWE HQ visit sparked immediate speculation, with some wondering if he was stepping into a producer or mentor role, possibly in NXT. Others pointed to growing AEW rumors, including chatter backstage at Dynamite and a new set of trademark filings for his name and logo.

But this latest update shows that Styles is still very much involved with WWE—for now—by stepping into a media role to share his story. Is this just the beginning of a new chapter for AJ Styles in WWE’s corporate or creative machine? Or could he still shock everyone and pop up in AEW?

What do you think AJ Styles should do now that he’s retired from in-ring action? Stick with WWE behind the scenes or start something brand new elsewhere? Let us know in the comments.
