TNA Wrestling’s huge January 15 debut on AMC delivered surprises, title changes, and big names—but one major development had fans talking: The IInspiration dropped the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. Now we know why.

According to Fightful Select, Cassie Lee and Jess McKay are officially parting ways with TNA Wrestling. The duo, formerly known as The IInspiration, had not signed long-term contracts with the promotion and had been working under a series of short-term agreements since returning to the company. With those deals now expired, the title drop on AMC’s debut episode wasn’t just for storyline—it was the end of their run.

“The duo did not sign new contracts after signing a series of short-term deals with TNA. We're told that they were open to remaining with TNA, but ended up opting to finish up after this week."

It was also noted that there’s interest in the former WWE stars outside of TNA, which could mean a return to a bigger stage isn’t off the table.

Their loss to Heather and M By Elegance marked a changing of the guard in the Knockouts tag division, and it came just moments after Mr. Elegance promised on-screen that his duo would walk out with gold. In a night packed with symbolic moments and resets, this title change turned out to be real business—not just wrestling theater.

Do you think The IInspiration will pop up in WWE again? Or is there another company that should scoop them up next? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
