Former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter returned to the company last year but hasn’t achieved much since her comeback. She has also been absent for some time, and the reason for her absence from the February 12 episode of AEW Dynamite has now been revealed.
According to Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, Jamie Hayter was backstage at the RIOT Cabaret Slamma Mia: Here We Go Again event in the UK instead of attending the February 12 AEW Dynamite tapings, which was held on February 11th as they all had to fly out to Australia for AEW Grand Slam.
“Fightful Select has learned that Jamie Hayter missed last week’s AEW Dynamite tapings on Tuesday, as she was backstage visiting at RIOT Cabaret Slamma Mia: Here We Go Again in the UK.”
The 29-year-old last appeared on the January 22 episode of Dynamite, where she defeated Julia Hart. The two had been feuding for months, with Jamie losing their first match but nothing more happened after Hayter’s win.
Jamie Hayter’s time away from AEW has made fans wonder about her future with the company. However, her appearance at the RIOT Cabaret Slamma Mia event shows she is still involved in wrestling.
Fans are excited for her return to AEW, hoping she will take her place back in the women’s division. Therefore, we will have to wait and see when Hayter will make her triumphant return to AEW and whether the company will have major plans for her after she is back.
