Alexa Bliss was set to make her WWE comeback, but now everything is on hold. Just before her scheduled return on January 13 for Monday Night RAW, Bliss’ representatives informed WWE that they wanted to renegotiate her contract. WWE wasn’t on board, and now both sides are at a standstill.

According to sources via PWInsider, WWE planned for Bliss to return in San Jose and be tied into The Wyatt Sicks faction. But before the show, WWE creative was told to scrap all plans for her. The Wyatt Sicks were later moved to SmackDown, and WWE’s entire creative direction for the group shifted without her.

The issue isn’t about creative. Bliss was ready to return, but WWE wanted her to come back under her previous contract, which had time added due to her absence. Bliss, however, wanted a new deal, and that’s where things went south. The two sides haven’t been able to agree, and there’s no clear path forward.

Things escalated even further when Bliss removed all references to WWE from her social media on January 14, the day after she was supposed to return. That move didn’t go unnoticed, fueling speculation that the relationship between Bliss and WWE may be on shaky ground.

For fans hoping to see Bliss make a Royal Rumble appearance, that’s not happening either. Reports say she’s not part of any creative plans for the match, and with her contract situation unresolved, there’s no telling when—or if—she’ll be back.

Alexa Bliss was ready to return, but contract negotiations threw everything off course. WWE and Bliss are at odds, and with WrestleMania season approaching, it’s anyone’s guess how this will play out. Ringside News will continued to monitor the situation and will keep you updated if any additional details emerge.
