According to Dave Meltzer in the March 20, 2026 Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rousey’s appearance may be connected to unresolved issues with TKO tied to a failed fight deal. It was noted that Ronda Rousey’s appearance at AEW Revolution fit into her vendetta against TKO for negotiating with her for over a year for the Gina Carano fight and then changing the terms on offer.
This wasn’t just a surprise cameo or storyline move — it may have been driven by frustration over business dealings that didn’t go as planned.
Rousey’s segment came right after Toni Storm’s match, where she stepped into the ring and confronted the champion before things escalated. Marina Shafir then joined in, attacking Storm and leaving with Rousey as the moment turned chaotic fast.
At the time, it looked like a standard wrestling angle designed to shock the audience. Now, it may be something more. If this report is accurate, Rousey’s involvement could be tied to a real-life issue with TKO — specifically around her fight with Gina Carano.
