Kevin Nash didn’t hold back when he recently called out Raquel Rodriguez’s in-ring style, but instead of firing back, the WWE star is owning it—and even thanking him.

During a conversation Kliq This a few months back, Nash criticized Rodriguez for not wrestling to her size advantage. He explained that Raquel often “works small,” saying:

“I get p*ssed off at her because she always works down. She works small. I’ll see her selling and she’ll make herself small instead of staying up and selling big… They’ve got to teeter to knock you off your f**ing base when you’re that much bigger than them.”

Nash went on to say that she could create more drama by making opponents work harder to take her off her feet:

“You can work 20, 30 seconds of just teetering… then that person hits the ropes, oh here it comes now, and then she gets her foot up, boom, cuts her off. She’s working too small.”

Rather than clap back, Raquel responded with humility in a December 2025 interview on Going Ringside with Scott Johnson. She explained that she first heard about the comments while doing media and took it all in stride:

“Yeah… I was actually doing an interview just like this when I got the news that that’s what was happening on Twitter and stuff. Because as much as I like to say I keep up with everything that’s going on on social media, it’s really tough to be up to date with everything that’s happening.”

Rodriguez mentioned that she appreciated Nash’s advice, especially coming from someone with such stature in the business:

“I’ve been working with WWE for nine years, and to me, this felt like the first time that someone of his caliber — a legend, someone who’s been in the business for a very long time — and also is very knowledgeable in what success looks like for a big man inside the squared circle…”

“So I was very appreciative that he took the time to not only watch what I’ve been doing but to critique it. And he critiqued it in a way that was very easy for me to understand… I took those notes and I ran with it. I mean, why would I disagree with Kevin Nash, Big Sexy? You know what I mean? I want to be Big Sexy.”

Rodriguez’s reaction has already earned her praise from fans and peers for being coachable and grounded—a refreshing approach in today’s WWE.

Do you think Raquel Rodriguez will evolve her style and become the powerhouse Nash knows she can be? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
