There was genuine concern backstage after WWE Raw when Raquel Rodriguez took a nasty head-first bump into the steel steps—courtesy of Nikki Bella. But according to a new report, Rodriguez has officially been cleared to compete.
The chaos erupted during Monday night’s Women’s World Championship match between Rodriguez and Stephanie Vaquer. As the bout built to its climax, Nikki Bella stormed the ring and attacked both women, turning the title clash into a no contest. But it was her shot to Rodriguez that left fans rattled—slamming her head against the steel steps at ringside.
Rodriguez was immediately checked out by medical staff for a potential concussion. The injury scare had many fearing the worst, especially as she appeared dazed after the impact. According to Dave Meltzer’s latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rodriguez is thankfully in the clear.
“Raquel Rodriguez was being checked out after Nikki Bella threw her head into the steps on Raw, but she’s been cleared,” Meltzer wrote via F4WOnline.com.
Even though she’s been medically cleared, the moment left a mark—literally and emotionally. During a backstage promo after Raw, Rodriguez was seen with a visible bump on her forehead. And with that damage came a clear message: she’s not just going after Vaquer anymore.
Bella just made this fight personal. Rodriguez, who represents The Judgment Day on Raw, originally entered the match without backup. Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez were nowhere to be seen—Rodriguez said she wanted to take on Vaquer solo. But that plan went sideways in a hurry, and Nikki Bella’s ambush changed everything.
With revenge on her mind and the title still in play, Rodriguez now finds herself at the center of two battles—one for gold and the other for payback.
