Raquel Rodriguez is finally addressing the moment that had WWE fans questioning the future of her alliance with Liv Morgan.
During this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble, Liv shocked viewers by eliminating her own Judgment Day teammate after Raquel had just helped take out Rhea Ripley. The moment sparked speculation about tension between the two, especially given their history as tag partners. Now, Raquel is setting the record straight.
While appearing on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, she was asked directly whether she and Liv were truly past the elimination. Rodriguez didn’t dodge the question.
“I mean, yes, yes. We’re past that. You know, it is every woman for themselves in the Royal Rumble. I mean, she saw an opportunity and she took it.”
Raquel acknowledged that Liv has far more Royal Rumble experience and knew exactly when to strike.
“She has the most experience out of all of us that are in the Royal Rumble. She’s been in almost every single one. I believe this was only my third one.”
Still, she admitted the timing caught her off guard. After delivering a Tejana Bomb to eliminate Rhea Ripley, Raquel believed it was a shared victory for both of them.
“Maybe I got a little overzealous about Tejana bombing Rhea out of Royal Rumble. That was so much fun. I was so excited. And she did step on my thunder a little bit when she eliminated me. I think that’s where the initial shock came from because I was like, whoa. Like, this was a win for both of us.”
Despite that reaction in the moment, Rodriguez made it clear she’s not holding a grudge.
“But overall, yeah, I’ve kind of pushed past that, moving on. And we’re looking at bigger and better things, which is Elimination Chamber. That’s where my sights are set right now.”
The bigger picture, according to Raquel, is loyalty. She revealed that during her time away from WWE due to health issues, Liv was the one who checked on her the most.
“Out of everyone, she was checking on me the most. She was sending me stuff to my house. She would call me. There were so many moments where I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to come back.”
Because of that support, she refuses to let one Royal Rumble moment define their relationship.
“I can’t really hold anything against her. And especially again, the Royal Rumble, it’s every woman for themselves. So she was doing what she was doing.”
The elimination may have looked dramatic on screen, but according to Rodriguez, it was business — not betrayal. With Elimination Chamber approaching, her focus is forward, not backward.
