Raquel Rodriguez is finally addressing the championship controversy — and she’s not walking anything back.

After Stephanie Vaquer revealed visible damage to her Women’s World Championship following their heated January 12, 2026 WWE RAW segment in Düsseldorf, Germany, fans immediately pointed the finger at Rodriguez. The torn metal buckle at the end of the strap was shown in Vaquer’s Instagram Story, complete with an angry emoji, making it clear the champion wasn’t pleased. Now, Raquel has spoken directly about breaking the belt — and her response isn’t remorseful.

During an appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, she was asked what happened backstage and whether anyone confronted her about damaging the title. She admitted she didn’t even realize the belt had been cracked at first. According to Rodriguez, Vaquer is the one who made the damage public.

“No. And you know what’s funny is I wouldn’t have known I broke it if Stephanie hadn’t posted the video of it being broken. She kind of like outed it on her own.”

When asked if she felt bad about breaking the Women’s World Championship, Raquel didn’t hesitate with a, “No.” She then made it clear she sees the moment as a badge of honor rather than a mistake.

“At least I can say that I broke the title on her ankle.”

The tone wasn’t accidental. Rodriguez made it obvious that this wasn’t some unfortunate accident she regrets — it was part of the message she’s sending. She also explained that her recent aggression reflects a bigger mindset shift in her career. That version of Raquel, she says, is over.

“I’ve played nice long enough. I’ve obviously been the good guy. I’ve been the partner to so many people.”

“But now I don’t care. I don’t want to be on everyone else’s level. I was not born to be on everyone else’s level. I’m on my own level.”

The damage to Stephanie Vaquer’s title isn’t just cosmetic. It represents a turning point in this rivalry — and in Rodriguez’s attitude. She’s not apologizing. She’s not backing down. And if another championship gets caught in the crossfire, she doesn’t sound concerned.
