Randy Savage is getting another honor years after his passing, as the WWE Hall of Famer is set to be inducted into the MJN Center Hall of Fame in Poughkeepsie, New York.

The posthumous induction is scheduled for May 16 during Awesome Championship Wrestling’s return to the venue. The building, formerly known as the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, holds major history for Savage, making the recognition especially meaningful.

Savage wrestled in the venue numerous times during his WWF run between 1985 and 1993. One of his biggest early career moments also took place there, as the arena hosted his WWF debut — the same night he introduced Miss Elizabeth as his manager, a pairing that would become one of the most iconic acts in wrestling history.

The MJN Center only recently began honoring wrestling figures in its Hall of Fame. Tommy Dreamer became the first professional wrestler inducted into the venue’s Hall of Fame last year.

Savage’s connection to the building and its history made him an obvious choice for the honor, especially given how many memorable moments from his WWF career took place inside the arena during wrestling’s boom years.

Even years after his passing, Savage continues to receive recognition for his legacy, proving how lasting his impact remains across generations of wrestling fans.
