John Cena’s retirement match is just around the corner, and WWE is pulling out all the stops for the sendoff. But one key name from his past likely won’t be present: Randy Orton.
Orton is currently in Saudi Arabia for the grand opening of MrBeast Land — a theme park launched by YouTube megastar MrBeast in partnership with WWE. The visit is part of WWE’s ongoing relationship with Saudi Arabia, which has hosted numerous Premium Live Events over the years, including Crown Jewel and Night of Champions.
That puts Orton’s attendance at Saturday Night’s Main Event in serious doubt. The event will mark Cena’s final match, a retirement bout against Gunther. While many WWE legends and former rivals are expected to be on hand for the occasion, Orton may be absent due to his commitments overseas.
Orton and Cena’s history is extensive, stretching back nearly two decades with numerous high-profile encounters, including their most recent clash at this year’s Backlash event. His absence would be a notable one, given the role he’s played in Cena’s legacy.
